Well I suppose the best place to start is the beginning so here it is.....
Our First GSD is Queen Ebony Diamond at Sarjette, we got her at 8 weeks old and has been the center of our attention since, that was till Tiger came along and now both are!
Jez as we call her, is a lovely dog and she has a lovely kind and easy going Temperament to match.
Jez has been Hip and Elbow scored with the following scores:-
Elbows 0/1 total of 1
Hips 2/7 total of 9
This first picture shows her at 9 weeks old, it is one of our most favorite pictures of her, showing her cheeky yet loveable character, it has been on our living room wall since I took it.
As most people who show will tell you the fur she has on her ears is too long for her to be shown, hence her not being a show dog, but she was ok to produce a litter of really nice puppies that gave us our first show Bitch, Tiger (more pictures in the litter page).
As many owners of GSD's will know they do grow fast and their looks change overnight, one night you go to bed and they are that lovely ball of fluff and it seems the next day you've swapped dogs and you have a bigger one on your hands!
There colour also changes from the almost complete Black to the wonderful colours that appear when they are fully grown, also the puppy fluff is lost and the recognisable quality coat of a shepherd appears.
The following pictures will show you just how much change happens during the growth of a typical GSD pup.
Jez at 11 Weeks
Jez at 14wks
Jez at 19wks
Jez 21wks,
Yunno it's amazing what a GSD pup will play with, here we caught her having fun with a pair of wellies!
